Carina Cosgrave, BASS

Carina studied Double Bass and baroque bass with Peter Buckoke at the Royal College of Music, London, supported by a Douglas and Hilda Simmons study award. Since graduating she has performed with many orchestras including the BBC Symphony Orchestra, City of London Sinfonia, Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, and the RTE Symphony Orchestra as well as many chamber music ensembles including the Chilingirian Quartet. 

Carina’s passion for historical performance has seen her perform with numerous ensembles in Europe, including the English Concert, Les Siecles, Gabrieli Consort and Players, The European Union Baroque Orchestra, Florilegium, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and La Serenissima whose recordings in recent have been nominated for several awards, winning a Gramophone Award for Best Baroque Instrumental recording in 2010. Currently Carina is studying violone at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague with Maggie Uruqhart.
