Olegeur Aymami, CELLO


Oleguer was born in Barcelona and discovered the cello aged seven. He began his studies with Marçal Cervera before studying at ESMUC in Barcelona with Damián Martínez. He started playing the baroque cello there with Bruno Cocset, and collaborated in many historical performance projects with Pedro Memelsdorff, Manfredo Kraemer, Xavi Díaz and Alfredo Bernardini. He currently plays with various groups, from early to contemporary music, such as Dell’Altro Mondo, Brossa Quartet de Corda, SonartEnsemble y Orquestra de Cambra Terrassa 48. Oleguer was a member of the National Youth Orchestras of Spain and Catalonia and now works with the Symphonic Orchestra of Barcelona and National Orchestra of Catalonia with directors Robert King, Barry Sargent, Cristopher Hogwood, Eivind Gullberg Jensen, Antoni Ros Marbà and Xavier Puig among others. He has also worked with early music ensembles La Caravaggia and Orquesta Barroca de Galicia, and played at the Oude Muziek Festival Utrecht and at the Festival de Música Antiga de Barcelona.
