Federica Bianci, KEYBOARD
Federica began her piano studies when she was eight years old. After having graduated in piano at the Conservatory of music in Florence, she studied the harpsichord with prof. Annaberta Conti, the with Gordon Murray at the Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Vienna and with Bob Van Asperen and Richard Egarr at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where she achieved her Masters with full marks and honours.
She has won many piano and harpsichord competitions, in 2002 she won the first prize and special prize of the jury at he International Harpsichord Competition “Gianni Gambi” in Pesaro and in 2006, with the “Ensemble Archidee”, she won the first prize at the International Chamber Music Competition “G. Zinetti” in Verona and the third prize at the European Harpsicord Competition “Paola Bernardi” in Bologna.
Federica attended masterclasses with, among others, Richard Egarr, Beatrice Martin, Christopher Hogwood, Menno van Delft, Fabio Bonizzoni and Gabriel Garrido. In 2008 she won the selection for the Ambronay European Baroque Academy and under the direction of Jean Tubery she toured Spain, Italy and France.
She performs all around Europe, in festivals such as Barocktage Melk, Haydn Festival Eisenstadt, Konzerthaus Berlin, Musikverein Vienna, and Ambronay Festival, as a soloist and as a continuo player. In 2012 her ensemble Cafebaum was selected as a young talented European ensemble by Ambronay Festival, Ghislieri Festival (Pavia) and the International Handel Festival (Göttingen).
